AEA’s mission is to provide an avenue for executive directors and upper management from nonprofit agencies to join together for mutual benefit to more effectively meet the needs of the local community. The primary purpose of the AEA is to:

• Advocate for the nonprofit sector
• Provide access to private and public funders
• Offer opportunities for partnership and collaboration
• Provide education and information
• Offer peer support and mentoring.

Purpose. The primary purpose of the AEA shall be to strive for leadership excellence and service to the community by:

1. mutual betterment of the executive-level management of non-profit agencies through professional development and education
2. sharing information concerning funding sources and allocation processes
